Author Video Presentation Instructions

Author Video Instructions


In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, DASC 2020 has been moved to a fully virtual conference. We have opted for a format where each contributed presentation will take the form of a video, available during the original dates of the conference and on-demand after the conference concludes.

We request you to prepare and upload a video of your presentation, comprised of a brief introduction with webcam, if desired, followed by voice over slides for your presentation. Virtual presentation be considered as a replacement of your attendance at the conference, and is a requirement for your paper to remain in IEEE Xplore. Please note that the file must be a video file in MP4 format (more details below). Please do not try to upload PowerPoint or PDF files.

Authors will have the option to present their work Live or On-Demand. All authors no matter what format they pick should submit a pre-recorded presentation by the deadline of September 11th. If you chose to present live the pre-recording will only be used as in case of a No-Show or technical difficulty. At least one author for each paper must attend their designated session to participate in Q&A. Please complete the below survey by August 14th to choose your presentation format.

Our recommended approach to record a compatible video from content displayed on your computer screen and voice recorded via the computer microphone, is to record the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries:

In order for videos to be verified by the technical program committee, there is considerable urgency in preparing and uploading your video. Accordingly, we ask you that you please finalize your video by September 11, 2020.  
 

Guidelines for preparing your video:

Duration (Oral Presentation): 20-22 minutes pre-recorded presentation 
Duration (Poster Presentation): 5-6 minutes pre-recorded presentation 
File size: 250MB max
Video file format: mp4
Dimensions: Minimum height 480 pixels, aspect ratio: 16:9

Please note the final specifications will be checked at the time of submission and files not compliant may not be uploaded.

Please be sure the video includes the title of the paper, the authors, and a mention to DASC 2020.

All authors are required to submit a pre-recorded video regardless of their presentation format. The below submission is taken into consideration when determining a paper publication eligibility.

More information on uploading videos will be emailed to accepted authors on September 1st 2nd. Check your email and the website for updated information.

  • Speaker Photo
  • Speaker Name, Affiliation, and Email 
  • Speaker Bio
  • PDF Slides or Poster 
  • MP4 Video File (250MB Max) 
  • Video Consent Form
